Zonnique Pullins Announces Her First Pregnancy

On August 4, 2020, stepdaughter of rap icon T.I., Zonnique Pullins surprised everyone by confirming rumors that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Bandhunta Izzy.

The Challenges of Being Pregnant During COVID-19

However, Pullins admitted to one major difficulty – managing prenatal doctor visits during the coronavirus pandemic. Initially, she thought lockdowns would help conceal her pregnancy longer if desired.

She soon realized the downsides, of having to attend every appointment alone without her partner by her side.

“It sucks being pregnant during the coronavirus,” “At first, I’m like, ‘This is the perfect time, like everybody is locked in. I don’t have to worry about going out. So if I want to hide it for however long, I can hide.’ “

she says.

“But when it comes to going to doctor’s appointments, I go to all of them by myself. I ask every single time, ‘Can I bring my boyfriend?’ And they’re like, ‘No, only you can come,’ ”

Pullins continues.

“That’s been the worst part,” “I’m hoping by the time I’m ready to have the baby it will be over with. But I’m sure it won’t be, so I’ll be in there with one person, most likely. I’m just trying not to get my hopes too high anymore.”

she adds.

“My favorite parts are the little things, like putting my child to sleep, cuddling with her…Seeing her smile and be so comfortable with me. She goes to others but doesn’t act the same way as with me. I’m like – Oh, I have my little person! That’s my favorite part right now.”

Pullins also confessed the toughest aspects she didn’t anticipate

“The most difficult part is not being able to move around freely. I never thought about how I can’t just go get my nails done or even shower when I want to. I’ve got to make sure my baby is okay first…I don’t take long showers anymore. She wakes up early so I don’t get to sleep in. Getting used to all those changes is difficult.”

Izzy’s already father to two children

While newborn Zonnique is Bandhunta Izzy’s third child, the rapper was already a hands-on dad to two young kids from previous relationships.

Izzy is quite private about his personal life and has not revealed the identity of his baby mama(s). But his Instagram indicates he shares a daughter, Skye, now 5 years old as of May 2022, and a 3-year-old son born in January 2019.
